Install from the Shopify App Store
Search for SonarID in the Shopify App Store and click Install. We request read-only access to your orders and customers — no write permissions, no data shared with third parties.
Once installed, SonarID immediately queues a historical scan of your last 12 months of orders. No configuration required. You will see results before you finish your coffee.
Automatic scan of your order history
SonarID processes each order through our enrichment pipeline: matching customer emails against professional databases, social graphs, press records, and public data sources.
We score every customer on a 0–100 VIP scale across four categories: Influencer, Investor, Press, and Founder/Executive. You can see the scan progress live on your dashboard.
Your first VIP detected

Does this work on historical orders, or only new ones?
Both. When you first install, SonarID scans your last 12 months of orders automatically. After that, every new order is enriched in real time as it comes in.
What data do you use to identify VIPs?
We match customer emails and names against professional databases, social media profiles, press records, and public business data. We do not use probabilistic guessing — every VIP flag is backed by a verifiable signal.
What if a customer does not want to be identified?
SonarID operates on publicly available information. Merchants can suppress individual customers from VIP detection in their settings at any time.
How accurate is the VIP scoring?
In internal testing across stores with over 10,000 orders, our false positive rate is under 4%. We score conservatively — we would rather miss a VIP than falsely flag someone.
